How Much Does a Dumpster Rental Cost in Longmont?
McCoy’s offers three dumpster sizes for residential, remodeling, and property cleanup projects:
| Size | Price | Included Weight | Good For |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 Yard | $349 | 2,000 lbs. | Small cleanouts, bathroom remodels, garage decluttering |
| 15 Yard | $399 | 3,000 lbs. | Moving, basement cleanouts, kitchen remodels |
| 20 Yard | $449 | 4,000 lbs. | Estate cleanouts, large renovations, whole-home cleanouts |
Each standard rental includes 7 days, along with delivery, pickup, and disposal of accepted materials up to the included weight within our standard service area.
Need your dumpster longer? Additional rental days are $25 per day. Weight over the included allowance is currently $95 per ton.
What Size Dumpster Do I Need?
Choosing the right dumpster mostly comes down to how much material your project will generate.
A 10-yard dumpster holds roughly 4.5 pickup-truck loads and works well for smaller household cleanouts, decluttering, and smaller remodeling projects.
A 15-yard dumpster holds roughly 6 pickup-truck loads and provides extra room for projects such as moving cleanouts, kitchen renovations, and basement cleanouts.
A 20-yard dumpster holds roughly 8 pickup-truck loads and is generally better suited for estate cleanouts, whole-home cleanouts, larger remodeling projects, and larger property cleanups.
Not sure which one you need? Tell McCoy’s about your project, and we’ll help you choose an appropriate size.

Do You Need a Permit for a Dumpster in Longmont?
Where you put the dumpster matters.
If you’re planning to keep the dumpster on your own property, such as in your driveway, a public right-of-way permit generally isn’t the issue.
If the dumpster will be placed within the public right-of-way, however, the City of Longmont considers dumpsters and storage containers temporary obstructions and requires a Right-of-Way Permit.
Before placing a dumpster on a street or other public area, check the City’s current requirements.
When Should You Reserve Your Dumpster?
If you already know your project dates, reserving ahead of time gives you a better opportunity to get the dumpster size and delivery date you want.
McCoy’s may also offer same-day or next-day delivery when scheduling allows, which can be helpful for last-minute cleanouts and projects.
Our standard 7-day rental gives you time to work at your own pace rather than trying to complete an entire cleanup in one day.
